An Private Research University required reliable wireless connectivity across campus offices, common areas and operational spaces while maintaining centralized visibility and security.

Enterprise Wi-Fi must support varying user densities, roaming users, corporate devices, guest access and different application requirements with easy to troubleshoot such large deployments.

Coverage alone therefore could not determine the network design.

The wireless architecture was designed around:

  • Reliable RF coverage
  • Appropriate access-point density
  • Centralized management
  • Secure corporate access
  • Guest network separation
  • Seamless user mobility
  • Scalable future expansion

SANSO conducted wireless planning and developed an enterprise WLAN architecture covering access points, switching, VLAN segmentation, authentication and centralized management.

AP locations and infrastructure requirements were planned around the physical environment and anticipated usage.

The University gained centrally managed wireless infrastructure capable of supporting business mobility while maintaining segmentation and security.
