One of India’s Largest Port required centralized surveillance infrastructure capable of continuously recording a large camera environment while maintaining approximately 90 days of video retention.

Very Harsh Environment, Major camera deployment was done on 21Meter and 15Meter Poles with Heavy Rain and Winds, Large Manholes removed with Hydra Crane

Creating a foundation of these cameras was a big task as Fiber Laying required Digging of hard soil, Cutting of Road and Thick RCC, erection of Poles and Making Foundations

The design needed to provide:

  • 24×7 recording
  • Centralized video management
  • Approximately 90-day retention
  • Storage resilience
  • Expandability
  • Reliable network connectivity

SANSO designed the surveillance architecture around IP cameras, enterprise NVR infrastructure and appropriately sized storage.

Recording parameters and storage requirements were calculated according to camera quantity and retention objectives.

RAID protection and external storage/backup possibilities were evaluated to balance usable capacity and resilience.

The solution provided centralized surveillance with predictable retention capacity and an architecture capable of accommodating future camera expansion.
